TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE WEEK 2

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 2-MONDAY TO SATURDAY (25/09/2023 TO 30/09/2023)

 The second week of our teaching practice went so good and effective. The week from 25 to 30 of September 2023
 On the first day 25th September 2023 the school conducted sports day. The school conducted this sports day well planned. The school have four houses which conducts all the events. All houses  have the concerned teachers. Where the teachers training also assigned with one of the houses. The different items conducted are 100,200,400 relay long jump,shot put etc. The rainy atmosphere create some problems but it doesn't affect the events. Refreshments lunch a well first aid was provided. A good stall with a snacks juices ice creams was also arranged. All the events cannot be completed during the first day so it was postponed to second day. It was decided to conduct the finals of the events and the relay on the second day.conducted. The students participated in all the events with great enthusiasm and sports man spirit. A type competition was held among the groups. A good lunch and also refreshments was provided. After the events and finals red house was declared as the overall Championship.
 The third day Wednesday the school was regular I reach the school at 9:15 a.m. As usual signed the attendance the substitution class was given first period and second period I have no classes but with teacher assign me the task to teach the students who were not in regular uniform. They are given the punishment that they were not allowed to sit in the class and they  asked to sit near our staff room. Students from different classes like 5,6,7,8,9 10 are there. I spend my time with them giving them different activities related to their text book. The third period and 4th period  I have class for standard 8C which was my concerned class. I teach them the topic waste disposal management. I teach them with learning  like charts lecture method slide presentation. A better group activities also provided. My class was observed by the Biology teacher.
 Afternoon session there was a selection for drama,  story writing Poem writing essay writing. We are asked to assist the concerned teachers and help them in the selection process. It was a great experience.
 Thursday due to Nabi day there was no regular classes
 On Friday as usual I reach the school at a 9:15 a.m. Marked attendance and went  to prayer. After the prayer substitution classes were provided. First and second period I have classes for 5 b there I gave the some maths problems edition subtraction and revise the multiplication table one by one. Third period I have class for 9 B which is my concerned class. The fourth period I have a substitution class for 6 b and 6th period I have a substitution class for 6D
 The last day of the week Saturday as usual I reach to the school at 9:15 a.m. market my attendance and went to prayer after the prayer substitution classes were provided. Though it was there was lot of absentis in the class so most of the same divisions are clubed. The first period I have free. Second period I have subscription for 8th class. The third period higher substitution class 8B and 8D 4th period I have a substitution class for 7C . And 5th period I have free. The sixth period I have a substitution class for 8. 7th Period a substitution class for 9C. There was no last period so school dispersed at 3:00 p.m. 
The reflective journals were also done this week.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In this week the students of 8th standard were taught using of teaching manual from their third chapter from part 1 of their basic science textbook. 8th standard students were taught " waste management and sustainable agriculture ".
Teaching aids such as  charts, activity cards,ICT were used  appropriately based on the topic taught.
The reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

     The students of 8th standard wasgiven teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. One teaching manual for standard 8 carried out . Students were given followup activities like assignment and short note in science diary.

 EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 On Monday and Tuesday this school conducted sports day. All the students participated very events with a great sportsman spirit. The red house among the four groups won the overall Championship. It was a great experience. Refreshment the stalls of different snacks uses ice creams the was well arranged.
 Also practices for dance, songs for the school kalolsavam  also  carried out with great interest. The different programs for the work experience in science fair are also carrying out

             COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP The community living camp is learning to live together, sharing duties and responsibilities. Developing personal and social skills. Practising democratic living and managing events. Practising division of labour, dignity of labour, community work.         FIRST DAY 14 DECEMBER THURSDAY 2023 The first day of community living camp was started at 8:00am.The day was named as ജ്വാല  A well organised NSS volunteers are selected for the registration section. All the voluteers are registered and gathered at the genera hall by 9:30am. The official inauguration ceremony was started sharp at 9:30am. The programme started by NSS Song by all of the volunteers. The welcome speech was delivered by our Principal Meera raj ma'am. The seven day camp was inagurated by Dr Jayakumar sir. COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 4 The day four of our camp starts with the coffee given by the food committee of that day. The day four was named as ദളങ്ങൾ  After the fresh up and breakfast the camp started with the morning assembly. The previous fay report and newses are presented by the previous day programme committe. After the assembly there was a arts and craft workshop was conducted as a part of the camp. Teascher engaged us with some craft activity in making flowers. It develops our creative skill as well as aesthetic skills. The class ended at 12:30. After the lunch we had a class by Dr Jayakumar sir " അമ്മ മാധുര്യം ".  During the session Devika give the welcome speech and Father Thomas kuttiyil give the welcome speech. After the session we made discussion on SNEHARAMAM For the next day. We had cultural programs at night. The day ended and light off at 10 pm.
