TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 3

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 2-MONDAY TO SATURDAY (03/10/2023 to 06/10/2023)
The second week of our teaching practice went so good and effective. The week from 03/10/2023 to 06/10/2023

 On 3rd October 2023 Tuesday I reached the school at 9:25 a.m. marked attendance and went for the prayer first period I no have period that period I assisted the deputy hm to mark the substitution class and give to other trainees. During the second period I have substitution for class 7 B and third period I have substitution for class 7D. The fourth and 5th period I have class for 9B which is my concerned class. I teach them the topic "The structure and peculiarities of alveoli and the exchange of gases" and the "Role of haemoglobin in the exchange of oxygen" from the unit breathing for energy. Different learning aids slides presentation are used to teach the topic people activity participated in all the activities and maintain discipline throughout the class. The 7th and 8th period after lunch break there was a meeting and Awareness to the students about to respect elders the school dispersed at 3:30 p.m.

As usual on the second day I reached the school at 9:20 a.m. marked attendance and after the prayer the first period I have substitution for 6D mark the attendance for the class the period was English and I make a dictation of  English most of the students got full mark. The second period I have no class. The third period I have got the substitution for class 8C  there I teach them the topic "Different agricultural sectors" the fourth period I have free.The 5th period I have the class in standard 8 C which is my concerned class I teach them the topic "new agricultural techniques" 7th period I have substitution for 5C and 8th period for Standard 8 E.

 On third day Reached school at 9:25 a.m. marked attendance and went for prayer.Today four  teacher training joined with us from BEd training college Anchal West. 1st period I have to assisted teacher to follow up some calculations on food for noon meal. The period I have substitution for 9B which is my concerned class and I checked all the notes 5th period I have substitution for 7D the 7th and 8th period I have gone to the headmaster he given us with some task and we have to complete it the school disperse at 3:30 p.m.


The fourth day I have reached the school at 9:20 a.m. marked attendance and went for the prayer. The first period I have a substitution for standard 7C there I took the attendance and engage them with activities. The second and third period I have free I completed my record. The fourth period I have a substitution for Standard 8 E and the 5th period I have substitutin for standard 9A. I have a class for 9B which is my concerned class. I teach them the topic "cellular respiration and the two steps glycolysis and krebs cycle". The 7th and 8 Period there was the preparation for going for the tour. The students of the school went to four day trip to Mysore Ooty. And also there was a meeting for the 8th standard and 9th standard students about maintaining discipline in the school. The school disperse at 3:30 p.m..
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In this week the students of 8th standard and 9th standard students were taught using of teaching manual from their 3rd chapter let's regain our field from basic science .The students of 9th standard the third chapter "Breathing for energy "were taught using teaching manual of their third unit from part one of their biology text.Teaching aids such as charts, activity cards were used for both classes appropriately based on the topic taught.
The reflective journals were also done this week.

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

     The students of 8th and 9th standard were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. For standard 8C have taken two topics from the unit let's regain our fields. Teach them different agriculture sectors like livestock management, pisciculture, apiculture, mushroom culture, cuniculture, etc using slide presentation. students actively participated in the all activities, maintained discipline throughout show enthusiasm in seeing the slides. The new agriculture techniques are teached by asking them questions about the effect of climate in agriculture, the new agricultural techniques like polyhouse farming, precision farming, hydroponics and aeroponics teached also images of each farming also shown on laptop. And for the 9th standard it is the topic structure and pecularities  of alveoli and the gaseous exchange. And cellular respiration and the two steps glycolosis and krebs cycle. Different learning aidssuch as slide presentation charts  cutouts are used.The structure of alveoli and its important in gaseous exchage is teached and the students actively participated in answering the questions, group discussions. Teach the students how haemoglobin help in the transport of oxygen from alveoli to cells. The cellular respiration is teached using charts showing the definition, hint charts etc.Overall it was a nice experience. All the students are actually participated in all the activities and also maintain a good discipline.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 All the weeks school conducted extra curricular activities too. This week a awareness program to respect elders take place. Also a meeting for maintaining discipline in the school for Standard 8 and 9th students where also conducted. The school conducted  study trip ootty Mysore Wayanad etc.
