CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In this week the students of 8th standard were taught using of teaching manual from their fourth chapter from part 1 of their basic science textbook namely WHY CLASSIFICATION. 8th standard students were taught " common basis for classification, criteria for classifying different organisms, specific criteria for classification and taxonomic key and dichotomous Key.
In this week the students of 9th standard where thought using of teaching manual from their Biology textbook from the unit excretion to maintain homeostasis . The 9th standard students where taught " excretory organs and its functions formation of ammonia and urea and the role of liver in excretion.
Teaching aids such as charts, activity cards,ICT were used appropriately based on the topic taught.
The reflective journals were also done this week.

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

The overall experience of the class was good and effective all the components of the lesson plan including the target at learning objectives clearly explained. Intellectual curiosity of the child is very well aroused. Developed a good rapot with the learner.
The topics from class 8 there I teached them are common basis for classification, criteria for classifying organisms,, specific criteria for classification. The basis for classification are shape colour size uses speed etc and the criteria for classifying the organisms are based on size beauty speed etc. If more specific criteria are adopted classification become more accurate, it will be easy to study organisms if they can be classified according to the suitable criteria

For the 9th standard I teach them two topics different excretory organs and its functions and the formation of ammonia and urea and the role of liver in excretion. In this topics I teach them the different excretory organs like a skin liver kidney. Formation of ammonia synthesis of Urea and the toxic substances and the liver in maintaining homeostasis.
A diagnostic test was conducted for the 9th standard students. The questions was taken, from the unit breathing for energy. The questions selected are name the following, true or false, fill in the blanks and match the following. The total marks questions are 20.Everystudents attended the exam jenuenly and effectively. Also concerned group, individual, whole class remedial classess given to the students.
