TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE - WEEK 7


TEACHING PRACTICE     

WEEK 6 -MONDAY TO FRIDAY
20/11/2023 TO 24/11/2023

                       INTRODUCTION
The sixth week of our teaching practice went so good and effective. The week from November 20 monday to 24 friday.

On the first day of the seventh week reached the school at 9:25am. After the prayer the first period I have substitution 6D. The sixth period I have class for 8C which is my concerned class there i teach themthe topic peculiarities  of taxonomy and its uses The topic includes how the organisms things are classified based on taxonomy and also the use of taxonomy in classification. School dispersed at 3:30 p.m.
On the second day of the week 21 November I reach to the school at 9:20 a.m. after the prayer there was no class for first period the second period I have a substitution class for 5B. There I teach students the basic science chapter about the process of water purification. After a short teaching learning section i engage them with memory game. After the interval the third period I have substitution for 7D class. The fourth period I have a class for 9B which is my concerned class there I take them the topic formation of  sweat. All the students are actively participated in the class.After the lunch break the sixth period I have substitution for 10 B. School dispersed at 3:30 p.m.

On the Third day of the week as usual reached the school at 9:20 a.m.. The 5th period have class for 8C which is my concerned class there I teach them the topic from the unit why classification contributions of scientists  on taxonomy  There I teach them the valuable contributions of  scientist in the history of taxonomy. The sixth period i have substitution for 8D the 7th and the 8th period the photos sessions of the winners of the kalolsavam was held.School dispersed at 3:30 p.m.

On the fourth day of the week as usual reach to the school at the 920 a.m. after the prayer the first period I have a substitution for 9B where i give them the notes.The second period I have substutionfor 5c.The third period again I have class for 7 D where i teach them the digestive system.  The fifth period I have class for 8C which is my conerned class there I teach them the topic taxonomic hierarchy by Carl linneaus. After the lunch there is a meeting for the conduction of program Awareness On health and hygiene.
On Friday i cannot able to attend the school due to my illness.

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In this week the students of 8th standard were taught using of teaching manual from their fourth chapter from part 1 of their basic science textbook namely WHY CLASSIFICATION. 8th standard students were taught "pecularities of taxonomy and its uses, contributions of scientist to taxonomy, taxonomic hierarchy by Carl linneaus.

In this week the students of 9th standard where thought using of teaching manual from their Biology textbook from the unit excretion to maintain homeostasis . The 9th standard students where taught " formation of sweat"
Teaching aids such as charts, activity cards,ICT were used appropriately based on the topic taught.
The reflective journals were also done this week.

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

 The overall experience of the class was good and effective all the components of the lesson plan including the target at learning objectives clearly explained. Intellectual curiosity of the child is very well aroused. Developed a good rapot with the learner.
 The topics from class 8 there I teached them are pecularities of taxonomy and its uses,  contributions of scientist taxonomy, taxonomic hierarchy by carl linneus. If more specific criteria are adopted classification become more accurate, it will be easy to study organisms if they can be classified according to the suitable criteria. The definition of taxonomy its uses and contributions of scientist to the history of taxonomy and taxonomical hierarchy of carl linneus was teached.

 For the 9th standard I teach them the topic formation of sweat. There I teach them how sweat is formed in our body and the main objective of sweating.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 The school also conducted extra curricular activities. This week kabadi district level games conducted and won prizes. Six students got state level selection. Also cricket selection is conducted in these week. Reunion of retired teachers held in these weeks. I have blessed with some moments with my teachers.

             COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP The community living camp is learning to live together, sharing duties and responsibilities. Developing personal and social skills. Practising democratic living and managing events. Practising division of labour, dignity of labour, community work.         FIRST DAY 14 DECEMBER THURSDAY 2023 The first day of community living camp was started at 8:00am.The day was named as ജ്വാല  A well organised NSS volunteers are selected for the registration section. All the voluteers are registered and gathered at the genera hall by 9:30am. The official inauguration ceremony was started sharp at 9:30am. The programme started by NSS Song by all of the volunteers. The welcome speech was delivered by our Principal Meera raj ma'am. The seven day camp was inagurated by Dr Jayakumar sir. COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 4 The day four of our camp starts with the coffee given by the food committee of that day. The day four was named as ദളങ്ങൾ  After the fresh up and breakfast the camp started with the morning assembly. The previous fay report and newses are presented by the previous day programme committe. After the assembly there was a arts and craft workshop was conducted as a part of the camp. Teascher engaged us with some craft activity in making flowers. It develops our creative skill as well as aesthetic skills. The class ended at 12:30. After the lunch we had a class by Dr Jayakumar sir " അമ്മ മാധുര്യം ".  During the session Devika give the welcome speech and Father Thomas kuttiyil give the welcome speech. After the session we made discussion on SNEHARAMAM For the next day. We had cultural programs at night. The day ended and light off at 10 pm.
