TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE - WEEK 5


TEACHING PRACTICE     

WEEK 5 -MONDAY TO FRIDAY
6/11/2023 TO 10/11/2023

                       INTRODUCTION
The fifth week of our teaching practice went so good and effective. The week from November 6 monday to 10 friday.

 On the first day as usual I reached the school at 9:20 a.m. The first two periods I have no classes and the third period I have class on 9B which is my concerned  class there I teach them the topic " vital capacity and its measurements". It is them the topic by performing experiments to show the vital capacity of a healthy man. All the students are actively participated in the experiments and they show interest in comparing the vital capacity of one another. The fourth period I have substitution for 6A and 5th period I have sub tuition for 6B. After the lunch break I have substitution class for 5C. The School has making preparations for the Kabaddi competition which held on the last day of this week.

On the second day of this week there was no regular classes because of educational Strike.

 On the 3rd day of 8th November I reached the school at 9:20 a.m. After the prayer I have a class for 10 A,there I take the attendance and as per the teacher instruction I revised topic from Biology textbook for the preparation of their mid-time exam. During the second period I have a substitution class for 8 C which is my concerned class on that class at is done the topic "Advantages of group agricultural activities its related problems and the measures to overcome ". In the concerned period i teach   the advantages of group agricultural activities like family farming Sunday farming etc in our locality. And also the main obstacles faced by the people who are interested in doing group agriculture activities to produce healthy food. And also the possibilities to overcome the above limitations. Third period I have no classes and The Fourth period I have class on 9 which is my concerned class there I teach them the topic "Modes of respiration in other organisms". from the Biology textbook. In that class I teach them the different respiratory organs of other organisms like  frog fish amoeba earthworm  etc and how gaseous exchange takes place through the respiratory organ
 On the 4th day of 9th November I reached the school at 9:20 a.m. From that day onwards there mid-term exam started. I was assigned with exam duty. The exam was carried out on the first two periods. The third period I have class on 8C which is my concerned class there I teach them the topic " possibilities to overcome the crisis of agricultural sectors". There I take them the different crises faced by the agriculture sectors today and the different possible measures to overcome this problems of agricultural sectors and to lead a better and healthy life.The third period I have no classes and The Fourth period I have a class on 9b which is my concerned class where I teach " mechanism of gaseous exchange in plants". There I teach hem the mechanism of gaseous exchange in plants by stomata and lenticels.6th Period also I have exam duty. The school dispersed at 3.30

On the last day of this week 10 to November as usual I reached the school at 9:20 a.m. After the prayer I have a class on 9B which is my concerned class where I teach them the topic " different types of excretory product and process of excretion ". Which is the topic from the Part 2 of their Biology text excretion for maintaining homeostasis. There I them  the different excretory products and it process of excretion. The dad and 4th period i have exam duty.Afternoon session also have exam duties. School dispersed at 3:30.

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In this week the students of 8th standard were taught using of teaching manual from their third chapter from part 1 of their basic science textbook. 8th standard students were taught " advantages of different agricultural activities its related problems and the measures to overcome, possibilities to overcome the crisis of agriculture sector".
In this week the students of 9th standard where thought using of teaching manual from their Biology textbook. The 9th standard students where taught "vital capacity and its measurements, modes of respiration in other organisms,  mechanism of gaseous exchange in plants, and different types of excretory products and the process of excretion from the chapter excretion for maintaining homeostasis ".
Teaching aids such as  charts, activity cards,ICT were used  appropriately based on the topic taught.
The reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

 The overall experience of the class was good and effective all the components of the lesson plan including the target at learning objectives clearly explained. Intellectual curiosity of the child is very well aroused. Developed a good rapot with the learner.
 The topics from class 8 there I teached them the advantages of group agricultural activities like Sunday farming family farming ask utilisation of barren land pesticide free food, exercise for the body,recreation etc and the problems faced by the people who wish to do group agriculture activities like lack of space, ignorance of nurturing etc. The other topic trees was the main agricultural crisis and the possibilities to overcome this crisis. There I teach them the different prices like climatic change cost of production crop loss lack of space falling price and concerned possibilities to overcome this crisis

 For the 9th standard I Teach three topics the Modeof respiration in other organisms, which includes the different respiratory organs of organisms like fish frog earthworm insects etc and the method of gaseous exchange.  The mechanism of gas exchange in plants includes the respiration of plants by stomata and by using lenticels. The different excretory products and the process of excretion includes the different excretory products in man and the process of excretion. Authentic assessment of all targeted objectives proper assessment tools was used which helps to scaffold the learner.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 The school also conducted extra curricular activities. This week Sub District School kalolsavam was held on. A group of participants from the school participated in different programs and won many prizes. And also practices for Kabaddi competition was going on. The school have a good kabaddi team. Thursday a surprise cake cutting was given to the arts teacher Senusir.
