TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE - WEEK 9


TEACHING PRACTICE     

WEEK 9-MONDAY TO FRIDAY
4/12/2023 TO 8/12/2023

                       INTRODUCTION
The ninth week of our teaching practice went so good and effective. The week from November 4 monday to 8 December friday.

On the first day of 9th week 4th of December reached the school at 9:20 a.m. After the prayer the first two periods have school election, the school conducted the election in systematic manner after lunch break parliamentary selection of school leader also take place. The third period I have observation class by our general teacher Meenu miss. It is the topic Binomial Nomenclature of basic science text of 8th standard. Teacher observed the class and the gave suggestions and assessedand evaluated the class. The 5th period I have class on 8C which is my consent class where I teach them the topic two kingdom classification. I teach them the to kingdom classification as Kingdom animaliaand plantae, proposed  by carl linnaeus.
 On the second day of the week I reach the school of the 9:20 a.m. after the prayer I have a substitution class for 9B. Where I gave them the notes of unit excretion to maintain homeostasis. The second period I have class on 8C where I teach them the different process of water purification. The fourth and 5th period I have class on Standard 8 C which is my concerned class where i teach them the topics five kingdom classification and 6 kingdom classification. In five kingdom classification I teach them the five kingdom of classification proposed by RH Whittaker and in 6 kingdom classification teach them limitations of five kingdom classification and the scientist carl woese who proposed the six kingdom classification 

 On the third day due to educational Strike  there was no regular class for the school but we have to go to the school to mark the attendantance 

 On the fourth day as usual reach the school at 9:20 a.m. after the prayer I have substitution for 9B class where I have to take the attendance and I teach them the topic internal structure of kidney where it is them the Internal structure of kidney using slides charts and cutouts . We have conducted our concentisation program screenaddiction to 8th standard student. Jacob Arackkal sir inaugurated the function.During the four period I have substitution class for 8C which is my concerned class I teach them the topic pecularities of virus . the fifth period i have substitution for 6C.  The seventh period Assisted Anitha teacher to make calculations on the mid day meal. The bills of the groceries vegetables purchased for the noon meal have to be  Tallied.The school dispersed at 3:30 pm

 On the last day of this week friday reach the school at 9:20 a.m. After the prayer we are assembled in our staff room. This was our last day of teaching practice in karavalur AMMHS school. So we the teacher training arranged a small treat for the teachers and staffs of the school. They give  us prayers  and thank us  and also they warmly welcomed us for the next teaching practice section. I give a small treat also for my students. School Christmas program was also conducted on this day. During the 6th 7th and 8 period I have substitutions for 8C and 6C classes respectively. In 8C my concerned class I showed them the innovative work and carried out the achieveent test. The school dispersed at the 3:30 p.m..

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 
 The students of 8th standard were tau
ght using of teaching manual from their fourth chapter from part 1 of their basic science textbook namely WHY CLASSIFICATION. 8th standard students were taught " Binomial Nomenclature two kingdom classification, five kingdom classification, 6 kingdom classification, peculiarities of virus 

In this week the students of 9th standard where thought using of teaching manual from their Biology textbook from the unit excretion to maintain homeostasis . The 9th standard students where taught internal structure of kidney"
Teaching aids such as charts, activity cards,ICT were used appropriately based on the topic taught.
The reflective journals were also done this week.

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

 The overall experience of the class was good and effective all the components of the lesson plan including the target at learning objectives clearly explained. Intellectual curiosity of the child is very well aroused. Developed a good rapot with the learner.
 The topics from class 8 there I teached them the topic Binomial Nomenclature. I teach them Binomial Nomenclature is the naming of organism by joining two words genus name and the species name and also examples. This topic was observed by the general miss Meenu miss. In the topic two kingdom classification I teach them the to Kingdom the plantae and animalia. In five kingdom classification I teach them the limitations of two kingdom classification. And the classification by RH Whittaker. In the topic six kingdom classification I first take them the limitations of five kingdom classification then I take them the new level of classification called domain. In the peculiarities of virus I teach them the characteristics of virus and how it affect the organism As pathogen.
 For the 9th standard I teach them the topic internal structure of kidney where it is them the internal structure of kidney cortex medula and pelvis and the structure of nephron.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 The school conducts extra curricular activities every week. This week a lot of extra activities carried out in the school. Competitive exam preparations are going on through this week. The NMMS EXAM, Maths talent exam, school  Christmas carol group are gone to different small lp schools to entertain the kids. Also the winners of state game are congratulated by giving certificate in the Assembly held on Thursday.

A seven day camp along with five days community camp was decided to conduct from 14 December to20 December. COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 1

             COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP The community living camp is learning to live together, sharing duties and responsibilities. Developing personal and social skills. Practising democratic living and managing events. Practising division of labour, dignity of labour, community work.         FIRST DAY 14 DECEMBER THURSDAY 2023 The first day of community living camp was started at 8:00am.The day was named as ജ്വാല  A well organised NSS volunteers are selected for the registration section. All the voluteers are registered and gathered at the genera hall by 9:30am. The official inauguration ceremony was started sharp at 9:30am. The programme started by NSS Song by all of the volunteers. The welcome speech was delivered by our Principal Meera raj ma'am. The seven day camp was inagurated by Dr Jayakumar sir.
